Going to Milan-Peabody football game, Thursday? You might want to buy tickets in advance

If you don’t want to miss a second of the Milan-Peabody football game, you might want to purchase your tickets in advance at the Bank of Milan or Peabody High School.

Tickets are on sale now and will be until Thursday at 3 p.m. for the 7 p.m. kickoff.

NOTE: The game will be STREAMED LIVE on WNWS.COM, and broadcast on NEWS/TALK 101.5 FM.

Dan Hughes and Terry Clement will have the play-by-play.

Peabody head coach Shane Jacobs said additional seating will be available for the rivalry game, but urges fans to purchase tickets early if they want a seat.

“We’re just a small high school that’s hosting a big football game,” Jacobs said. “We’re not in the business of hosting concerts or huge events like this so please get your tickets in advance so we can avoid long lines. If you get there at 6:30 p.m. without a ticket, you can expect a long line.”

Leaders are anticipating a standing room only crowd for the season opener, and the first game Peabody has played since hoisting the Class 2A state championship trophy last December.

A rare Thursday night match-up is also expected to attract an even larger audience for the cross-county rivalry.

Peabody has won three out of the last four games in the series, including last year’s thriller when they scored on fourth- and 15 from their own 26 with just over a minute left in the game.
