– Madison County Sheriff John Mehr and Jackson Madison County School Superintendent, Ray Washington, in a joint press release, confirm an incident occurred at approximately 10:45 this morning at North Side High School in Jackson.

MCSO School Resource Officers were requested by school officials to assist when a 16 year old juvenile female student became defiant and with loud cursing disrupted an office setting.

She was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and was transported to the CJC.

A fight broke out and three juveniles have been arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and assault. Two are 16 year old males and the third is a 16 year old female.

Preliminary information includes that a teacher suffered an injury and has sought medical attention.

Order was restored with the efforts of School Resource Officers and School Officials.
