New England faces New Orleans – oops – make that the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LIII, in Atlanta, Sunday, and NEWS/TALK 101.5 FM & WNWS.COM asked a few Jackson bankers for a prediction.
“I think it will be a close game … closer than most people think. You can look for a few trick plays, but I’m thinking Los Angeles, 35-31.” – Monte Jones, community president Commercial Bank and Trust Company.
“The Patriots have been there, and I’m considering the experience they’ve had. I’m pulling for the Rams, but unfortunately, New England, 35-21.” – Scott Beard, Regions Bank, commercial banking relationship manager.
“Since the Saints are out, I really don’t have that much interest. I think it will be a high scoring ball game, and probably the last team that has the ball, wins … New England, 35-28.” – Curtis Mansfield, market president, FirstBank, Jackson.
“You’re talking to a non-football guy, but (New England quarterback) Tom Brady is a winner, the leader on that team. You also have to credit their coach Bill Belichick, their owner Robert Kraft and the culture. They do things the right way. New England, 27-12.” – Gary Grisham, chairman/CEO, Bank of Jackson.
“It would be hard to bet against the Patriots. I have to go with their experience, and (Tom) Brady thrives in this situation. I also believe New England’s running backs are going to have a heyday. New England, 35-28.” – Adam Milligan, commercial banker, Simmons Bank.
