Ellen Renfroe Reed, a former softball star at Trinity Christian Academy is the new head softball coach at Lakeway Christian Academy in White Pine, a community about 10 miles southwest of Morristown in east Tennessee.
Both TCA and LCA are nicknamed the Lions.
Renfroe Reed leaves her position as an assistant softball coach at the University of Louisiana in Lafayette.
An All-American pitcher at the University of Tennessee, Renfroe Reed was named head softball coach at Bethel University in May 2017, before resigning in November for a new position in Lafayette.
