(February 9, 2015) JACKSON Tenn — Jackson police say they have a person of interest in the January 26 murder of Harvey Gandy Police are looking for Corey Scott.
Police tell us they believe Scott may have valuable information about Gandy’s murder. Investigators say are unable to release details about what that information is at this time.
There is not an arrest warrant for Scott, and he is only considered a person of interest.
Scott is a black male, 22-years old, 6’ 1” tall and weighs 185 pounds. He sometimes wears eyeglasses. Scott’s last known address is 818 North Highland Avenue Apt. 7 in Jackson.

BACKGROUND Around 6 p.m. Jan. 26, officers responded to a shooting at Crest View Apartments, located at 118 Crescent Avenue, Apartment 210. Gandy, 33, who lived at this apartment, was found inside with an apparent gunshot wound. Based on preliminary information, police investigators believe Gandy was shot earlier that day, but investigators are not releasing an exact time. Because there was no evidence of a break-in at the apartment, Gandy may have known the person who shot him.
