There was an increase in turnout for early voting, when 180 voters cast ballots in the Madison County Republican and Democratic local primaries, Friday.

This was the largest number of voters on any day during this early voting period.

Early voting continues through Thursday, April 26. Voting hours are from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., weekdays and 9 a.m. to noon, Saturdays.

In order to vote, a voter must show a photo ID issued by the State of Tennessee or the United States government. The early voting location is at 311 North Parkway in Jackson at the Madison County Agriculture Complex Auditorium.
