The Madison County Sheriff’s Office has recently been made aware of a scam that is taking place in Madison County.

An unknown male individual has been making phone calls from telephone number 731/223-0923 stating that he is from the Madison County Sheriff’s Office Warrants Division. The caller is requesting $1,400.00 to settle existing fines.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office does not contact individuals requesting money for any reason.
