Nerdvana, 1923 Emporium Drive, is expanding.
Nerdvana, which sells video games, board games, card games and comic books, is incorporating 1,100-square-feet to its current 1,700-square-feet.
The new space was home to Mobile Nation, Nerdvana’s neighbor in the Emporium Plaza Retail Center on Vann Drive across from Lowe’s.
After renovations, a doorway will connect the two spaces – Nerdvana’s retail space with its new gaming and private event space.
The expansion will allow the store to host private parties, events and gaming tournaments.
The room will have six mounted flat screen TVs and several tables and chairs that can be used for playing trading card games, board games and video games.
With the addition of the new gaming space, Nerdvana will be adding more shelves and product in its current retail area.
Previously, that space was limited needing tables as play space for tabletop gaming.
Co-owned by Paul and Tracie Simer, Nerdvana plans to have the new gaming space available by the end of the month, in time for Halloween ComicFest on Saturday, Oct. 28.
Nerdvana is located in the same shopping center with Moe’s Southwest Grill – across from Lowe’s on Vann Drive.
