An upscale American restaurant, The Blacksmith Bar & Grill, 216 N. Shannon St., opened Monday evening.
Restaurant hours are 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., this week – closed Sunday.
Beginning Oct. 9, hours will be 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., opening on Sunday later in the month of October.
The Blacksmith will be offering a selection of gourmet burgers, some stuffed with various ingredients, a selection of crafted salads and baked potatoes, along with hand crafted sandwiches.
The restaurant will also offer steaks, chicken and other entrees.
Signature drinks have been created by the Bar Manager while bringing back some originals with a new twist to complement the food.
The Blacksmith is named the Blacksmith, because the 5,000-square-foot building was originally a blacksmith shop according to records.
Real wooden beams have been added to the dining room with reclaimed wood and tin to the walls to present a rustic – but comfortable feel.
If you would like to dine outdoors, there’s a pergola, or an archway covered with trained climbing or trailing plants.
