MILAN Tenn (Sept. 27, 2017) – A 17-year-old has been arrested and Milan police and U.S. Marshals are working to locate a second suspect in a deadly shooting.
Just before 9:30 p.m. Milan Police responded to a call of shots fired at the Meadows of Milan Apartments
A local 17-year-old male is charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the shooting, according to the Milan Police Department.
Another 17-year-old is also being sought in connection with the shooting.
Two men were shot outside of the Meadows of Milan apartment complex on Reasons Boulevard around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday. One victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The other victim was taken to an area hospital where he later died.
Investigators said when they arrived they found the two men lying on the ground.
The two young men have been identified as 19-year-old Troy Whitmore, and 20-year-old Deairrious Young.
Police say the case is active and ongoing.
