(December 30, 2013)- Jackson, Tenn.- The first meeting of the Jackson City Council for 2014 sees the councilmen considering multiple ordinances.
The board has only one first ordinance reading. It is a consideration to amend Title 8, Acloholic Beverages, Chapter 2, Beer.
There are three ordinances that will have their second reading. The ordinances rezone property, amend Municipal Court-Court Administration, and Alcoholic Beverages- BYOB
The Tennessee Association of Chiefs of Police will make a presentation to the Jackson Police Department at the meeting and JPD Chief Gill Kendrick will recognize graduates of the Law Enforcement Academy.
The board will hear the recommendation of the mayor’s salary review committee and consider raining the salary on July 1, 2015.
The council will also approve multiple members to the Mayor’s Advisory Counci on Domestic and Sexual Violence.
The meeting takes place at City Hall in the George A. Smith Meeting Room at 9AM.
