(October 3, 2013) Jackson, Tenn.- A Jackson Madison County School System Teachers Assistant was arrested according to a release from the School System.
Yesterday, Anthony Antonio Swift, a special education assistant that the Jackson Careers and Technology Elementary School, turned himself in to authorities.
The release stated that Swift was being sought by the Jackson Police Department to face a charge of second degree murder that stemmed from an incident in June of 2012.
The release also points out that Swift had been working in his assistant role since October of 2010. He has been suspended without pay from his duties with the school system pending an investigation.
