(September 24, 2013) Jackson, Tenn.- The Keep Jackson Beautiful Commission discussed their next hazardous household waste disposal event at their meeting on Tuesday morning. 

The next disposal event will take place behind the Farmers Market on October 26. The disposal starts at 9AM and continues until 1PM. 

The Commission also discussed America Recycles Day on November 16. They will have e-waste disposal, paper shredding, and a drug take back program.

They also announced the results of the litter index that was conducted. They reported that all areas were improved and that they only encountered one problem area.

The litter index covers sections of each city council district each year to survey the amount of litter present.
