Around 11:10 last night Jackson police received a call to a residence in the 100 block of McCowat Street. A 29-year-old woman told police that her boyfriend, Kenneth Bond age 39 of Jackson, had came to her home and stabbed her multiple times with a pocket knife after a break up. She suffered
lacerations to her arm, stomach, chest, leg, and back. She told police that he threatened to commit suicide and fled her house on foot.
EMS was called and treated her at the scene.
Moments later, Bond was dropped off at the Jackson -Madison County General Hospital emergency room by a friend. He had stab wounds to the arms, legs, and head; none of which were life-threatening. He told police that he was stabbed by family members of the woman. He was admitted and remains in the hospital in stable condition. He will be charged with Aggravated Domestic Assault upon release. Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding how he received his injuries.
