Rick Staples For Sheriff Campaign Announces Postponement Till Thursday of Campaign Headquarters Grand Opening Due To Inclement Weather
April 28 – Due to the forecast of more rain and possible storm conditions for Tuesday April 29th the Rick Staples Campaign has chosen to delay the official grand opening of it's campaign headquarters located at 200 West Main St. (Old Baker Drug Building) until Thursday May 1st from 4-7p.m. As was previously planned, entertainment will be provided by the legendary W.S. Holland Band featuring W.S. Holland – former drummer for country music icon Johnny Cash.
The event will feature food, live music, and plenty of family activities including face painting, balloons and a Dandy Jumper.
"I look forward to this opportunity to meet families from all over Madison County, listening to their concerns and having the opportunity to thank them for the overwhelming support that has been shown me from all areas of the county" said Staples.
Staples, who served for 34 years with the Jackson Police Department, including 20 years as Police Chief before his retirement stated "as Sheriff, I will take dead aim at the issues impacting many of our communities – from crime, school safety, gang and drug related activities and domestic violence."
