Investigators from the Jackson-Madison County Metro Narcotics Unit served narcotics search warrants at 21 and 25 Meadowlands Cove in north Jackson.
The searches revealed drugs, guns and cash.
At 21 Meadowlands Cove which is the home of Devin Long, Investigators recovered approximately 107 grams (4 ounces) of Marijuana along with a digital scale and packaging materials that were in the kitchen. Further search 2 bags of Marijuana lodged in the trap of the toilet where an attempt was made to dispose of them as Long observed officers approaching the house via his video surveillance camera system. The 2 additional bags weighed approximately 434.7 grams (1 pound). A loaded .40 caliber handgun was retrieved from a closet inside the residence and another loaded .40 caliber handgun was found inside the Long’s vehicle parked in the driveway. Having observed the officers approaching the residence, Long fled out the rear door but was apprehended a short distance away.
The drugs seized from this search warrant have an estimated street value $2,000. Electronic equipment and $417 in U.S. currency believed to be the proceeds of drug sales were seized under the civil forfeiture laws of the Tennessee Drug Control Act.
Devin Jerrod Long, age 22, of 21 Meadowlands Cove in Jackson was charged with Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Sell or Distribute, Tampering with Evidence, Possession of a Firearm during commission of a Dangerous Felony, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was transported to the Madison County Criminal Justice Complex to await arraignment in Madison County General Sessions Court.
At 25 Meadowlands Cove which is the home of Maurice Bond, Investigators recovered approximately 8.9 grams of Crack Cocaine, a digital scale with Cocaine residue and two loaded handguns.
The drugs seized from this search warrant have an estimated street value of $900. Bond was also in possession of $268 in U.S. currency believed to be the proceeds of drug sales which was seized under the civil forfeiture laws of the Tennessee Drug Control Act.
Maurice Antonio Bond, age 39, of 25 Meadowlands Cove in Jackson was charged with Possession of Crack Cocaine with Intent to Sell or Distribute, Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Firearm during commission of a Dangerous Felony and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. He was transported to the Madison County Criminal Justice Complex to await arraignment in Madison County General Sessions Court.
