The Tennessee Highway Patrol will be conducting Sobriety, Driver License and
Safety Belt Roadside Safety Checkpoints in the Jackson District The date and location
are listed below.

•  8/31/2026 – Haywood: State Route 179 – Drivers License checkpoint
•  9/4/2026 – Henderson: State Route 22A– Sobriety checkpoint
•  9/4/2026 – Weakley: US Route 45 – Sobriety checkpoint
•  9/4/2026 – Obion: State Route 431 – Seatbelt checkpoint
•  9/4/2026 – Hardin: State Route 203 – Seatbelt checkpoint

Impaired driving is a serious crime that kills more than 16,000 people and injures
305,000 others every year in the United States. Troopers will evaluate drivers for signs
of alcohol or drug impairment. Troopers will target those who operate a vehicle while
impaired and take corrective actions for other violations observed while ensuring the
protection of all motorists. The Tennessee Highway Patrol recognizes that sobriety
checkpoints are highly visible and effective tools in the battle against impaired driving.
