Road work schedule for West Tennessee counties

From the Tennessee Department of Transportation

 

The Tennessee Department of Transportation will halt all lane-closure activity on interstates and state highways for the Labor Day Weekend travel period. Construction crews will stop all lane-closure activity beginning at noon on Friday, September 4, and ending at 6 a.m., Tuesday, September 8.

 

There may be DAYTIME or NIGHTTIME lane closures at various locations in Region 4 to make repairs or perform new installations on an as-needed basis throughout the 21 counties.

 

District 47

BENTON, CARROLL, HENRY, GIBSON, OBION, WEAKLEY, DYER COUNTY

 

VARIOUS ROUTES Pavement markings will be repainted across the Region (West Tennessee). This will result in a slow-moving work zone on interstate and state routes in Shelby, Fayette, Haywood, Madison, Henderson, and Dyer counties.

VARIOUS ROUTES Pavement testing will cause temporary lane closures in District 47.

 

BENTON COUNTY

I-40 at Exit 126 The grading, drainage, and paving on I-40 at the US-641 (SR-69) interchange (Exit 126) will cause temporary lane closures throughout the project.

 

BENTON COUNTY

SR-1 (US70) The grading, drainage, and paving on SR-1 (US 70) from the Camden Bypass to the Tennessee River will cause temporary lane closures throughout the project. The following roads are closed for construction. Traffic to utilize Cutt-Off Rd to access US-70 (SR-1):  Missionary Grove Church Rd from US 70 (SR-1) to Old Hwy 70 and Old Hwy 70 from Missionary Grove Church Rd to US 70 (SR-1).

 

CARROLL COUNTY

SR-22 & SR-364 The Resurfacing on SR-22 from near SR77 to SR77 and SR364 from SR22 to SR77 will cause lane closures throughout the project paving and bridge repair.

 

CARROLL COUNTY

SR-76 (US-79) The grading, drainage, noise walls, signals, and paving on U.S. 79 (S.R. 76) from near S.R. 77 to near Cutlip Lane will cause lane closures throughout the project.

Meadowbrook Lane is closed.

Cutlip Lane Traffic was shifted to the new alignment from near Cutlip Ln. to the Connector Rd. leading into Trezevant, speed limit reduced to 35 MPH. Traffic will proceed down the new alignment to an All-Way Stop, then onto Old US79 (SR76).

Dorsey Rd is closed for utility realignment and road construction, weather permitting. The detour route is posted.

Clay Farm Rd is closed for utility realignment and road construction, weather permitting. The detour route along Newsome Rd. is posted.

Power Station Rd Is closed for road construction, and traffic is detoured along US-70A/SR105 Main Street.

SR-105 Traffic is shifted to the new realignment close to Power Station Road.

 

DYER COUNTY

US-51 (SR-3) The Resurfacing on US-51 (SR-3) from near SR181 to SR-78 will cause lane closures throughout the project for paving.

 

DYER COUNTY

SR-211 The bridge over the North Fork Forked Deer River (just south of Dyersburg) will have outside lane closures for inspection and evaluation.

 

DYER COUNTY

US-412 and US-51 INTERCHANGE The full-depth repair of the concrete ramp from US-412 (SR20) to SR-211 North/St. Johns Ave, will cause the ramp to be closed from. A signed detour will be provided.

 

GIBSON COUNTY

SR-5 The miscellaneous safety improvements on U.S.45(SR-5) at the intersection of Broad Street in Dyer will cause lane closures throughout the project.

 

GIBSON COUNTY

SR-43 The repair of pipes by the City of Milan on US-45E (SR-43/N. 1st Street) from the intersection of US-79 (SR-76) to W. Woodrow Street will result in daily lane closures, one lane in each direction will be maintained.

 

GIBSON COUNTY

SR-105 The resurfacing on SR-105 from Shiloh Road to Wayne Lloyd Road will cause lane closures throughout the project for paving.

 

OBION COUNTY

SR-5 The resurfacing on US-45W (SR-5) from the Gibson County Line to Polk Station Road will cause lane closures throughout the project for paving.

 

OBION COUNTY

SR-43 The resurfacing on US-45E (SR-43) from the Weakley County Line to Kentucky State line will cause lane closures throughout the project for paving.

 

HENRY COUNTY

SR-218 The Resurfacing on SR-218 from SR-77 to SR-76 will cause lane closures throughout the project for paving.

 

District 48

CHESTER, CROCKETT, DECATUR, HARDEMAN, HARDIN, HAYWOOD, HENDERSON, MADISON, MCNAIRY

 

CHESTER COUNTY

SR100 between E. Main St and Baker Rd

Crews are replacing 2 bridges on SR100 between E. Main St. and Baker Rd. Please use caution throughout the area. A temporary traffic signal is in place at the bridge over Dry Creek, east of Henderson.

Restrictions: Speed limit is reduced from 55 MPH to 45 MPH on SR100

Width: 12’ Width Restriction

 

CHESTER COUNTY

Talley Store Road (County Road) is closed between Terry Lane past Talley Road

Talley Store Road closed for a bridge replacement.

 

CHESTER COUNTY

SR100 Intersection at SR-225

The construction of turn lanes at the intersection of SR100 and SR225 will cause temporary lane closures with flagging operations.

 

CROCKETT COUNTY

SR88 in Bells, TN in relation to relocating SR76 around Pictsweet

The following roads are closed in Bells, TN

·       Central Ave. (SR88) from High St. To Christian Ave Ext.

·       Central Ave. (SR88), west of the CSX Railroad

·       Weddle St., south of Mitchell Ave.

·       Hicks St., from High St. to south of existing Central Ave. (SR88)

A posted detour will be in place for SR88.

 

HARDIN COUNTY

Bridge on SR 128 over the Pickwick Dam

Continuing through Wednesday, August 19 – There will be intermittent lane closures for the SafeSpan installation. Flagmen will be present during lane closures.

 

HARDIN COUNTY

SR 203 from Burnt Church Road to near Lonesome Pine Road

Resurfacing on SR203, from Burnt Church Rd. to Lonesome Pine Rd., will cause temporary lane closures. Motorists should watch for equipment entering the highway.

 

HARDIN COUNTY

S.R.69 from S.R. 15 to Sycamore Drive

The resurfacing work will cause daily lane closures.

 

HARDIN COUNTY

S.R. 142 from the McNairy County Line to S.R.57

The resurfacing work will cause daily lane closures.

 

HAYWOOD COUNTY

SR180 Near Jeffries Rd. to Raymond Akin Road – Closed to through traffic

SR180 is closed to through traffic for bridge construction.

 

HAYWOOD COUNTY

SR54 from near Thomas Street to the Crockett County line

Resurfacing on SR54, from Thomas St. to the Crockett County Line, will cause temporary lane closures. Motorists should watch for equipment entering the highway.

 

HAYWOOD COUNTY

SR76 from North Washington Avenue to Alsey Williams Road

Resurfacing on SR76 (US79), from North Washington Ave. to Alsey Williams Road will cause temporary lane closures. Motorists should watch for equipment entering the highway.

 

HAYWOOD COUNTY (CSX Railroad)

SR222 at CSX Railroad Crossing in Stanton, TN

Continuing through Friday, August 14 SR222 will be closed at the railroad crossing in Stanton, TN (LM 4.56) for CSX to replace railroad ties.

 

HAYWOOD COUNTY

I-40 Westbound from MM57 to MM55

Wednesday, August 19 through Thursday, August 20, 8 p.m.-6 a.m. – There will be lane closures on I-40 in Haywood County westbound from MM57 to MM55 to attach ITS Conduit under the bridges. One lane will remain open.

 

HENDERSON COUNTY

I-40 (Exit 101) at the SR104 Interchange

Continuing through Wednesday, August 19, 7PM-6AM – There will be nightly lane closures on I-40 east and west bound between MM100-102, including possible ramp closures at Exit 101 for ramp improvements, including grading, drainage, lighting, and paving.

Thursday, August 13, 8 p.m.-4 a.m. – There will be intermittent lane closures southbound on the US45 Bypass (SR186) at Carriage House Drive for crews to do milling work.

 

MADISON COUNTY

I-40 Westbound from MM72 to MM69

Tuesday, August 18 through Wednesday, August 19, 8 p.m.-6 a.m. – There will be a lane closures on I-40 in Madison County westbound from MM72 to MM69 to attach ITS Conduit under the bridge. One lane will remain open.

 

MADISON COUNTY

I-40 Westbound from MM80.8 to MM79

Thursday, August 20 through Friday, August 21, 8 p.m.-6:00 a.m. – There will be a lane closures on I-40 in Madison County westbound from MM80.8 to MM79 to attach ITS Conduit under the bridge. One lane will remain open.

 

MADISON COUNTY

I-40 Westbound from MM79.8 to MM79

Friday, August 21 through Saturday, August 22, 8 p.m.-6 a.m. – There will be a lane closures on I-40 in Madison County westbound from MM79.8 to MM79 to attach ITS Conduit under the bridge. One lane will remain open.

 

MCNAIRY COUNTY

SR142 From US45 (SR5) to near Albert Robinson Road

The resurfacing will cause temporary lane closures. Motorists should watch for equipment entering the highway.

 

MCNAIRY AND CHESTER COUNTY

SR 224 from US64 to SR22A in Chester County

The resurfacing with cold in-place recycling (thin mix overlay) on SR224 from US 64 (SR15) in McNairy County to SR22A in Chester County, including bridge repair work will cause daily lane closures.

 

MCNAIRY COUNTY

SR 5 (US 45) from SR57 to US64

The resurfacing with cold in-place recycling on US45 (SR5) from SR57 to US 64 (SR15), including concrete repair on the bridge over Roland Creek will cause daily lane closures.

 

District 49

SHELBY, FAYETTE, TIPTON, LAUDERDALE COUNTY

 

INTERSTATE

SHELBY COUNTY

I-40 Eastbound from Levee Rd. to Hollywood Street (L.M. 4.65 to L.M. 7.50)

There will be long-term lane closures on East and Westbound I-40 inside lanes for rubblization and paving operations. At least two lanes in the east and westbound directions will remain open at all times.

·       Hollywood St. Eastbound and Westbound entrance ramps – The entrance ramps from Hollywood St to East and Westbound I-40 will be closed with a posted detour in place.

·       Watkins St Westbound entrance ramp – 9p.m. to Monday, August 17, 6 a.m. – The entrance ramp from Watkins St to Westbound I-40 will be closed with a detour in place.

 

SHELBY COUNTY

I-40 from near Sycamore View Road to Fletcher Creek

Nightly, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

There will be intermittent nightly lane closures on East and Westbound I-40 for paving operations. One lane will remain open in both directions at all times.

 

SHELBY COUNTY

I-40 Eastbound Bridge over Chester Street

Friday, August 14 at 8 p.m. through Monday, August 17 at 6 a.m. 

The inside lane of eastbound I-40 will be closed from MM 26.0 to MM 26.4 to perform bridge repairs. There will be a 12’ lane width restriction through the work zone during this time. Weather Permitting

 

Chester Street at I-40

North and Southbound Chester Street will be closed from Larry Anderson Lane to Scarlet Ridge Drive to perform bridge repairs on the I-40 bridges at L.M. 29.8. Chester street will remain closed for the duration of the project.

 

SHELBY COUNTY

SR- 14/ US-61 (Third Street) Bridges over ICRR and Nonconnah Creek (L.M. 7.13) Shelby County, Tennessee. Interstate 55 Exit Ramp Bridge to State Route 14 (L.M. 7.44) State Route 14 (South 3rd Street) Bridge over Interstate 55 (L.M. 7.46)

The following ramps on US-61 S Third St (SR14) at I 55 will continue to remain closed with detours in place:

·       Northbound S.R. 14 to northbound I-55.

·       Southbound S.R. 14 to southbound I-55.

·       Southbound I-55 to southbound SR-14

·       Northbound I-55 to northbound/southbound SR-14

Northbound SR-14 traffic was reduced to one lane from the approach to the bridge over Nonconnah Creek to just beyond the northbound SR-14 to northbound I-55 loop ramp. Drivers can expect intermittent flagging on SR14.

 

Continuing through Friday, August 28, 8 p.m. – 6 a.m. – There will be intermittent lane closures on northbound and southbound I-55 and northbound and southbound SR-14.

 

SHELBY COUNTY

I-55 from near Mill Branch to I-240

Nightly, 8 p.m. – 6 a.m. – There will be intermittent lane closures for bridge repair and paving operations. One lane to remain open in both directions at all times.

 

SHELBY COUNTY

I-240 from I-40 to I-55

Nightly, 8 p.m. – 6 a.m. – There will be intermittent lane closures for resurfacing operations. One lane to remain open in both directions at all times.

 

SHELBY COUNTY

I-240 from near Elvis Presley Blvd to near S Perkins Road

Nightly, 8 p.m. – 6 a.m. – There will be intermittent lane closures for resurfacing operations. One lane to remain open in both directions at all times.

 

LOOK AHEAD

I-240 East from SR-4 (Lamar Avenue) and Getwell Road

Friday, August 28, 8 p.m. through Monday, August 31, 6:00 a.m. – There will be temporary lane closures along I-240 East for bridge repair activities on the Black Bayou Bridge. At least one lane will remain open at all times. Exit 20A-B (Getwell Road) from I-240 East will be temporarily closed. WEATHER PERMITTING.
*September 4 through the September 7 will serve as backup dates.

 

SHELBY COUNTY

I-240 from near S. Perkins to near Park Avenue

Nightly, 8 p.m. – 6 a.m. – There will be intermittent lane closures for resurfacing operations.  One lane will remain open in both directions at all times.

Friday, August 14th, 8 p.m. to Monday, August 17, 6 a.m.

Ramp (EXIT 16) from I-240 Eastbound to SR385 Eastbound will be closed for concrete pavement repair operations.

SR385 Westbound to I-240 East towards Nashville will be closed for concrete pavement repairs.  Detour(s) will be posted.

 

FAYETTE COUNTY

I-269 (SR-385) from near SR-86 (U.S. 72) to SR-57

Daily – Northbound and Southbound I-269 (SR-385) will be reduced to one lane from SR-86 (U.S. 72) to SR-57 for bridge maintenance activities. At least one lane will remain open at all times.  The speed limit will be reduced from 65 mph to 55 mph through the work zone.
