Ryan Rolison, a 2016 University School of Jackson graduate, and left-handed pitcher with the Chicago Cubs is 5-1 overall with a 2.45 ERA.
He has appeared in 39 games – two starts and two saves. Rolison has pitched 44 innings and recorded 45 strikeouts for the Cubs, 63-49, six-and-a-half games behind first place Milwaukee in the National Leagues’ Central Division.
Rolison was selected in the first round of the 2018 Major League Baseball Draft by the Colorado Rockies with the 22nd pick overall.
He played college baseball at Ole Miss and signed with the Rockies following his sophomore season – 2018 – at Ole Miss.
