Road work schedule for West Tennessee counties

From the Tennessee Department of Transportation 

 

There will be possible DAYTIME or NIGHTTIME lane closures at various locations in Region 4 to make repairs or new installs on an as needed basis at various locations throughout the 21 counties.

 

District 47

 

BENTON, CARROLL, HENRY, GIBSON, OBION, WEAKLEY, DYER COUNTY

VARIOUS ROUTES: Pavement testing will cause temporary lane closures on various routes in District 47.

 

BENTON COUNTY

I-40 at Exit 126 The grading, drainage, and paving on I-40 at the US-641 (SR-69) interchange (Exit 126) will cause temporary lane closures throughout the project.

 

BENTON COUNTY

SR-69 The Resurfacing on SR-69 from James Walker Rd to near Hospital Drive will cause lane closures throughout the project for paving.

 

BENTON COUNTY

I-40 A lane closure will be required on I-40 from MM133 to MM135 for debris removal on the barrier rail on 6/16/26 and 6/17/26.

 

BENTON COUNTY

SR-1 (US70) The grading, drainage, and paving on SR-1 (US 70) from the Camden Bypass to the Tennessee River will cause temporary lane closures throughout the project. The following roads are closed for construction. Traffic to utilize Cutt-Off Rd to access US-70 (SR-1):  Missionary Grove Church Rd from US 70 (SR-1) to Old Hwy 70 and Old Hwy 70 from Missionary Grove Church Rd to US 70 (SR-1).

 

CARROLL COUNTY

SR-22 & SR364 The Resurfacing on SR-22 from near SR77 to SR77 and SR364 from SR22 to SR77 will cause lane closures throughout the project paving and bridge repair.

 

CARROLL COUNTY

SR-76 (US-79) The grading, drainage, noise walls, signals, and paving on U.S. 79 (S.R. 76) from near S.R. 77 to near Cutlip Lane will cause lane closures throughout the project.

 

Meadowbrook Lane is closed.

 

Cutlip Lane: Traffic was shifted to the new alignment from near Cutlip Ln. to the Connector Rd. leading into Trezevant, speed limit reduced to 35 MPH. Traffic will proceed down the new alignment to an All-Way Stop, then onto Old US79 (SR76).

 

Dorsey Rd is closed for utility realignment and road construction, weather permitting. The detour route is posted.

Clay Farm Rd is closed for utility realignment and road construction, weather permitting. The detour route along Newsome Rd. is posted.

Power Station Rd Is closed for road construction, and traffic is detoured along US-70A/SR105 Main Street.

SR-105 Traffic is shifted to the new realignment close to Power Station Road.

 

DYER COUNTY

US-51 (SR-3) The Resurfacing on US-51 (SR-3) from near SR181 to SR-78 will cause lane closures throughout the project for paving.

 

DYER COUNTY

SR-103 The Resurfacing on SR-103 from near Ragan Levee Rd to near US-412 (SR-20) will cause lane closures throughout the project for paving.

 

DYER COUNTY

SR-211 The bridge over the North Fork Forked Deer River (just south of Dyersburg) will have outside lane closures for inspection and evaluation.

 

DYER COUNTY

US-412 and US-51 INTERCHANGE The full-depth repair of the concrete ramp from US-412 (SR20) to US-51 (SR3) North, will cause the ramp to be closed through June 11th and again on June 16th through the remainder of the week. A signed detour will be provided. The detour will follow along I-155 to Exit 13.

 

GIBSON COUNTY

SR-104 A lane closure will be required on SR-104 within Milan Army Ammunition Plant for the removal of a railroad crossing.

 

OBION COUNTY

SR-5 The Resurfacing on US-45W (SR-5) from the Gibson County Line to Polk Station Road will cause lane closures throughout the project for paving.

 

HENRY COUNTY

SR-218 The Resurfacing on sr218 from the SR-77 to SR-76 will cause lane closures throughout the project for paving.

 

HENRY COUNTY

SR-54 Soil boring operations from north of Puryear to north of Paris resulting in temporary lane closures daily from 7am, – 5pm – weather permitting. Work will commence on April 13, 2026, and last 9-10 weeks.

 

District 48

CHESTER, CROCKETT, DECATUR, HARDEMAN, HARDIN, HAYWOOD, HENDERSON, MADISON, MCNAIRY

 

CHESTER COUNTY

SR100 between E. Main Street and Baker Road

Crews are replacing 2 bridges on SR100 between E. Main St. and Baker Rd. Please use caution throughout the area. A temporary traffic signal is in place at the bridge over Dry Creek, east of Henderson.

Restrictions – Speed limit is reduced from 55 MPH to 45 MPH on SR100

Width: 12’ Width Restriction

 

CHESTER COUNTY

Talley Store Rd. (County Road) is closed between Terry Lane past Talley Road

Talley Store Road closed for a bridge replacement.

 

CROCKETT COUNTY

SR88 in Bells, TN in relation to relocating SR76 around Pictsweet

The following roads closed in Bells, TN

·         Central Ave. (SR88) from High St. To Christian Ave Ext.

·         Central Ave. (SR88), west of the CSX Railroad

·         Weddle St., south of Mitchell Ave.

·         Hicks St., from High St. to south of existing Central Ave. (SR88)

A posted detour will be in place for SR88.

 

HARDIN COUNTY

S.R.69 from near Bingham Creek to the Decatur County line

The resurfacing work will cause daily lane closures.

 

HARDIN COUNTY

Bridge on SR 128 over the Pickwick Dam

Wednesday, June 10 through Wednesday, June 17 There will be intermittent lane closures during the SafeSpan installation. Flagmen will be present during lane closures.

 

HAYWOOD COUNTY

SR180 Near Jeffries Rd. To Raymond Akin Rd. Closed to through traffic

SR180 is closed to through traffic for bridge construction.

 

HAYWOOD COUNTY

SR54 from near Thomas Street to the Crockett County line

Wednesday, June 10 through Wednesday, June 17, 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. There will be daily lane closures for the resurfacing on SR54 including repair work on bridges.

 

HAYWOOD COUNTY

US 70 (US 79, SR1) from near Big Muddy Creek Canal to SR19

Wednesday, June 10 through Wednesday, June 17, 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. There will be daily lane closures for the resurfacing on US 70, including thin epoxy overlay on bridges.

 

HAYWOOD COUNTY

SR76 from North Washington Avenue (L.M. 13.90) to Alsey Williams Road (L.M. 18.39)

Wednesday, June 10 through Wednesday, June 17, 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. There will be daily lane closures for the resurfacing on S.R. 76, including bridge expansion joint repair and thin epoxy overlay.

 

MADISON COUNTY

I-40 and Lower Brownsville Road (Exit 74)

There will be temporary lane closures along Lower Brownsville Rd. At the interchange at I-40 starting Wednesday, June 1, 2026, for geotechnical work.

Continuing through Wednesday, June 16, 2026, 7 p.m. – 6 a.m. There will be possible lane closures and shoulder closures on I-40 at Exit 74 for soil bores in the median.

 

HENDERSON COUNTY

I-40 (Exit 101) at the SR104 Interchange

Wednesday, June 10 through Wednesday, June 17, 7 p.m. – 6 a.m. There will be possible nightly lane closures on I-40 east and west bound between MM100-102, including possible ramp closures at Exit 101 for ramp improvements including grading, drainage, lighting, and paving.

HENDERSON COUNTY

I-40 Eastbound between MM96-MM98

Thursday, June 11, 8 p.m. – 2 a.m. There will be a right lane closure on I-40 Eastbound between MM96-MM98 for Ozone Environmental Service to clean up a diesel spill at MM97 from a previous accident.

 

MADISON COUNTY

U.S. 70 (S.R. 1) from near S.R. 186 to near Mobile Street

Wednesday, June 10 through Wednesday, June 17, 7PM-6AM There will be nightly lane closures for the resurfacing on U.S. 70 (S.R. 1) from near S.R. 186 (L.M. 13.83) to near Mobile Street (L.M. 16.05) (includes S. Church Street and S.R. 1 WB). This work will cause possible lane closures in both directions. Motorists should watch for crew/equipment in the roadway.    

 

LOOK AHEAD

Wednesday, June 17 through Wednesday, June 24, 7PM-6AM – There will be nightly lane closures for the resurfacing on U.S. 70 (S.R. 1) from near S.R. 186 (L.M. 13.83) to near Mobile Street (L.M. 16.05) (includes S. Church Street and S.R. 1 WB). This work will cause possible lane closures in both directions. Motorists should watch for crew/equipment in the roadway.    

 

MCNAIRY COUNTY

SR 142 FROM US45 (SR5) TO NEAR ALBERT ROBINSON ROAD

The resurfacing with Mill, B-M2 and 441-D will cause temporary lane closures. Motorists should watch for equipment entering the highway.

 

MCNAIRY AND CHESTER COUNTY

SR 224 from US64 to SR22A in Chester County

The resurfacing with cold in-place recycling (thin mix overlay) on SR224 from US 64 (SR15) in McNairy County to SR22A in Chester County, including bridge repair work will cause daily lane closures.

 

MCNAIRY COUNTY

SR 5 (US 45) from SR57 to US64

The resurfacing with cold in-place recycling on US45 (SR5) from SR57 to US 64 (SR15), including concrete repair on the bridge over Roland Creek will cause daily lane closures.

 

District 49

SHELBY, FAYETTE, TIPTON, LAUDERDALE COUNTY

 

INTERSTATE

SHELBY COUNTY

I-40 Eastbound from Arkansas State line. To N. 2nd St. (L.M. 0.00 to L.M. 1.00).

Nightly – 8 pm to 6 am

Arkansas Department of Transportation will be closing lanes on the Hernando Desoto bridge, Eastbound I-40, perform bridge repairs. The 2 interior lanes will be closed. One lane will remain open at all times.

 

SHELBY COUNTY

I-40 Eastbound from Levee Rd. to Hollywood Street (Exit 5)

There will be long-term lane closures on East and Westbound I-40 inside lanes for rubblization and paving operations. At least two lanes in the east and westbound direction will remain open at all times.

 

SHELBY COUNTY

I-40 Eastbound Interchange Flyover Bridge over I-240 NB, SR-1 (Summer Ave), Sam Cooper Blvd and Ramps:

Monday, June 15th through Wednesday, June 17th   8 pm to 6 am    

There will be temporary nighttime lane closures to perform expansion joint repairs and striping on the bridge at Exit 12C.  One lane will remain open at all times.

 

SHELBY COUNTY

I-40 Westbound Bridge over Chester Street

Friday, June 12 at 8 p.m. through Monday, June 15 at 6 a.m.

The outside lane of westbound I-40 will be closed from MM 26.0 to MM 26.4 to perform bridge repairs. There will be a 12’ lane width restriction through the work zone during this time. Weather Permitting.

 

SHELBY COUNTY

Chester Street at I-40

Beginning Monday, May 18th North and Southbound Chester Street will be closed from Larry Anderson Lane to Scarlet Ridge Drive to perform bridge repairs on the I-40 bridges at L.M. 29.8. Chester street will remain closed for the duration of the project.

 

FAYETTE COUNTY

I-269 (SR-385) from near SR-86 (U.S. 72) to SR-57

Daily – Northbound and Southbound I-269 (SR-385) will be reduced to one lane from SR-86 (U.S. 72) to SR-57 for bridge maintenance activities. At least one lane will remain open at all times.  The speed limit will be reduced from 65 mph to 55 mph through the work zone. There will be a 12’ lane width restriction over the I-269 North (SR-385 East) bridge at L.M. 1.23.

 

SHELBY COUNTY

SR- 14/ US-61 (Third Street) Bridges over ICRR and Nonconnah Creek Shelby County, Tennessee. Interstate 55 Exit Ramp Bridge to State Route 14 State Route 14 (South 3rd Street) Bridge over Interstate 55.

The following ramps on US-61 S Third St (SR14) at I 55 will continue to remain closed with detours in place:

·         Northbound S.R. 14 to northbound I-55.

·         Southbound S.R. 14 to southbound I-55.

·         Southbound I-55 to southbound SR-14

·         Northbound I-55 to northbound/southbound SR-14

Northbound SR-14 traffic will be reduced to one lane from the approach to the bridge over Nonconnah Creek to just beyond the northbound SR-14 to northbound I-55 loop ramp. Drivers can expect intermittent flagging on SR14.

 

SHELBY COUNTY

I-240 from I-40 to I-55

Nightly, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. – There will be intermittent lane closures for resurfacing operations. One lane to remain open in both directions at all times.

 

SHELBY COUNTY

I-240 from near Elvis Presley Blvd to near S Perkins Road

Nightly, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. – There will be intermittent lane closures for resurfacing operations. One lane to remain open in both directions at all times.

 

SHELBY COUNTY

I-240 On-Ramp from Democrat Road at the Airways Boulevard Interchange:

Beginning Sunday, June 14th, 8 p.m. The I-240 On-Ramp from Democrat Road at the Airways Boulevard interchange will be temporarily closed to allow for bridge repair and paving activities.  A detour will be in place.

 

SHELBY COUNTY

I-240 from near S. Perkins (L.M. 12.71) to near Park Avenue (L.M. 15.00)

Friday, June 19th, 8 p.m. to Monday, June 22nd, 6 a.m.

Ramp (EXIT 16) from I-240 Eastbound to SR385 Eastbound will be Closed

There will be lane closures for concrete pavement repair operations. Detour will be provided for SR 385 Exit 16.

Nightly, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. – There will be intermittent lane closures for resurfacing operations.  One lane to remain open in both directions at all times

 

SHELBY COUNTY

I-55 from near Mill Branch to I-240

Nightly, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. – There will be intermittent lane closures for bridge repair and paving operations. One lane to remain open in both directions at all times.

 

STATE ROUTES

FAYETTE COUNTY

SR-15 (U.S. 64) from near Tomlin Road to near Woodbridge Road

Daily – There will be temporary lane closures on east and westbound SR-15 from near Tomlin Road to near Woodbridge Road to perform resurfacing work. At least one lane in each direction will remain open at all times.

 

SHELBY COUNTY

SR-1 (U.S. 70, Summer Avenue) from near I-40 to North of Sycamore View Road

Daily – There will be temporary lane closures along Westbound and Eastbound SR-1 for roadway widening activities. Eastbound SR-1 will be reduced from two lanes to one lane beginning at the I-40 Frontage Rd. and ending East of Sycamore View Rd. Westbound SR-1 will be reduced from two lanes to one lane beginning near Munson Rd. and ending at the I-40 Frontage Road. Trucks will be entering and exiting the work zone along SR-1. Flaggers will be present for directing traffic as necessary. At least one lane in each direction will remain open at all times.

 

Beginning Wednesday, February 18 – Access to Summer Trees Drive along SR-1 (Summer Avenue) will be temporarily closed with detours in place.

 

SHELBY COUNTY

SR-4 from South of Shelby Drive to the Raines/Perkins Road interchange – The following routes will be affected due to roadway widening activities along SR-4.

 

Affected Routes

·         Lamar Avenue (SR-4) – Speed limit reduced from 55 mph to 45 mph from South of Shelby Drive to the Raines/Perkins Road interchange.

·         Shelby Drive (SR-175) – Speed limit reduced from 45 mph to 35 mph at the intersection with Lamar Avenue (SR-4).

·         Pleasant Run Road – Closed to thru traffic from Pleasant Hill Road. Pleasant Run Road is closed from Lamar Avenue (SR-4).

 

Wednesday, June 10th, 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. – There will be temporary nighttime lane closures on Southbound SR-4 to allow for the transition from Phase 1B to Phase 2 traffic control. A new traffic pattern along SR-4 will be established for Southbound traffic during this night closure. At least one lane along Southbound SR-4 will remain open at all times. Thursday, June 11th and Friday, June 12th will serve as backup dates.

 

SHELBY COUNTY

SR-14 from Kerrville Rosemark Road to the Tipton County line

The widening on SR-14 (Austin Peay Hwy) from Kerrville-Rosemark to the Tipton County Line will cause shoulder closures and temporary lane closures in both directions. There will be intermittent lane closures daily on eastbound and westbound SR 14 to perform grading, drainage, and paving work. Tracy Rd., Idaville Rd., Mulberry Rd., and Gragg Rd. will be closed, and a detour put in place.

 

SHELBY COUNTY

SR-57 (E. Poplar Avenue) from Fletcher Road to I-269 (SR-385)

Daily: There will be intermittent temporary lane closures along East and Westbound SR-57 for roadway widening activities. Flaggers will be present for directing traffic. At least one lane will remain open at all times.

 

SHELBY COUNTY

SR-3 (Bellevue Blvd) from Heistan Place to Union Avenue

Nightly from 8 pm to 6 am. – There will be intermittent temporary lane closures for Milling and Paving Ramp.  At least one lane in each direction to remain open at all times.

 

SHELBY COUNTY

SR-177 (Germantown Pkwy.) from I-40 to US64

There will be intermittent temporary lane closures for resurfacing operations, including temporary ramp closures.  At least one lane in each direction to remain open at all times.
