First Watch Renovations Ramp Up at Former Red Robin; Hiring Underway for New Location

Construction crews continue heavy renovations at the former Red Robin building on 1025 Vann Drive in The Columns shopping area, transforming it into Jackson’s first First Watch daytime café. 

You may have observed significant progress in recent weeks, with roughly half of the building’s front facade removed and extensive interior work underway. The project is adapting the space for First Watch’s signature bright, welcoming vibe focused on made-to-order breakfast, brunch, and lunch. 

First Watch is actively hiring for the Jackson location, starting with a Restaurant Operations Manager position ($60K–$68K salary range, day shifts only, no nights). The company is seeking experienced leaders to help build the team as the opening approaches. Additional hourly roles (servers, cooks, etc.) are expected to follow soon. 

First Watch specializes in fresh, chef-driven menu items like avocado toast, quinoa power bowls, signature Million Dollar Bacon, and fresh-squeezed juices — all served in a daytime-only format (typically 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.). 

No firm grand opening date has been announced, but visible progress and hiring activity suggest the location is moving forward quickly.
