An estimated crowd of 500-plus students, faculty, and members of the community gathered at Union University Thursday to spread a message of Unity.

Demonstrators walked the perimeter of the Union campus in north Jackson. A moment of silence was observed.

As has been done at other demonstrations, the crowd stood together in silence for more than eight minutes in observance of the time a police officer’s knee was on the neck of George Floyd.
