From the Jackson Police Department

At approximately 12:40 PM January 25, 2025, the Jackson Police Department responded to a shooting incident in the 100 block of Hardee Street.

Upon arrival, officers found a 15-year-old female inside a residence suffering from a gun shot wound.

Despite the immediate life-saving measures by first responders, tragically, the female died on scene as a result of her injuries.

Investigators are currently conducting interviews with witnesses who were present at the time of the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
