The Jackson Police Department responded to a report of a shooting at 1400 N. Highland Avenue around 11:17 p.m., last night.

Officers were alerted through the ShotSpotter Alert system, which indicated several rounds had been fired in the area.

Shortly after the shooting, two male victims arrived at a local hospital with gunshot wounds. One victim was airlifted to a hospital in Memphis, TN, and is currently in critical condition. The other victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Officers quickly arrived on the scene and observed a suspect vehicle fleeing north on Highland Avenue. A brief vehicle pursuit ensued, leading to the vehicle stopping around the 3000 block of North Highland Avenue. The suspects then fled on foot, but officers were able to apprehend two adult male suspects and one juvenile male suspect. The individuals were taken into custody without incident.

Multiple firearms were recovered.
