From the Jackson Police Department –

At approximately 11:59 p.m., Saturday, Jackson Police Officers responded to the 600 Block of Old Humboldt Road to a shots fired call.

Upon arrival, officers located two victims inside a vehicle, both suffering from what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds.

One male victim was transported to a local hospital by Emergency Medical Services where he later died as a result of his injuries, while the female victim was transported by Air Evac to a nearby hospital.
