Woman Charged with False Reporting and Felony Theft in Ongoing, Days Inn Armed Robbery InvestigationĀ
A Jackson woman has been charged and arrested for filing a false police report and felony theft after an ongoing, robbery investigation revealed that the incident was fabricated, and a Days Inn employee was involved in taking the business’ money.
Lacy Littleton, 20, of Jackson, was arrested around 9 a.m. Tuesday at a house in Kenton in Obion County. She was then transported to the Madison County Jail.Ā
Littleton remains in custody at the county jail and is scheduled to be arraigned via video link at 8 a.m. Wednesday in Jackson City Court.Ā
Shortly after 10 p.m. on June 27, Jackson police were called about a robbery at Days Inn, 2239 Hollywood Drive. A further probe by investigators revealed that Littleton and the man had coordinated the fictitious robbery. During the incident, the man entered Days Inn, and Littleton willingly gave him money.Ā
Littleton was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force, which is comprised of investigators from the Jackson Police Department and deputy marshals.
