Woman Arrested for Aggravated Animal Cruelty in Jackson

Ashonti Shardai Kidd was arrested on Friday, August 1, 2025, by the Jackson Police Department on charges of aggravated cruelty to animals. The arrest follows a public appeal last week to locate Kidd after a Jackson Animal Control Officer found a starving pit bull abandoned in a garage, described as “hours from death”

Thank God they found this person and I hope they give her everything they can for what she done to this poor baby dog I love animals and they have a soul and a heart so she basically should be charged with attempted murder!!!!!!

  2. Pitt Bulls are DEMONS and kill more kids than all other breeds combined. Owning them should be illegal and the breed should be wiped out.

If a dog attacks or kills someone the OWNER should be charged with the crime, including 1st Degree murder and child endangerment.

  3. It was NOT an Animal Control Officer who found the dog, it was a civilian. Give credit where credit is due! Thank you Brian Munyer for saving this precious life!
