A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for the area through Monday.
Saturday is expected to be a nice day with highs in the mid-50’s but an approaching cold front brings frigid temperatures tonight and the chance for frozen precipitation by Sunday.
The weather service has issued a Winter Storm Watch.
Winds pick up Saturday night. Gusts are expected up to 30 MPH. The low is expected near 15.
Sunday morning is expected to be partly cloudy but clouds gather later in the day. Highs expected in the upper 20’s with wind chill dipping the feel to near zero.
The weather service reports the chance for frozen precipitation Sunday night that includes freezing rain, snow and sleet. There is a 60% chance of precipitation.
The frozen precipitation could continue into Monday morning.
