JACKSON Tenn — The Madison County Fire Department along with the Madison County Sheriff’s Department are investigating two fires over the past week.
The first fire occurred just after midnight on October 14th at 187 Watt Boone Road in north Madison County. A vacant single family dwelling was totally involved with fire upon Fire Department arrival. Madison County Fire and Sheriff investigators have determined the cause of the fire to be arson.
The second fire was located at the Old Medina Winery on Old Medina Road.
The fire occurred on October 18th at approximately 3am. Units from the Jackson and Madison County fire department responded to the call and
found the commercial building fully involved in fire. Madison County Fire and Sheriff Investigators have determined the cause of this fire to be arson
as well.
Due to the extensive damage in both fires the Department’s requested K9 assistance from the Tennessee State Bomb and Arson Division. Currently
investigators do not believe the arson fires are connected but are pursuing all avenues. The Department is asking the public for assistance in solving both arson fires. Anyone with information can call the Madison County Fire Department at 424-5577.
