Families, Friends, Neighbors and co-workers are all headed to the West
Tennessee State Fair.
The Fair kicked off Tuesday evening with a ribbon cutting and opening
ceremony then the gates opened and in came the eager fair-goers.
The Fair runs through Sunday and includes new special discounts and
promotions each day.
Fair manager, Mike Peery, said new additions include “Kachunga and the
Alligator Show, where man and alligator will wrestle on stage”. This is a
first time showing at a fair in Tennessee.
Other shows include the “Banana Derby,” monkeys will race on dogs. Another
new show is magician, Bob Bohm, performs tricks that will amaze you, like
saw people in half, and put on a “survivor’s show” for families.
The show times are staggered so you won’t miss a thing.
There will also be a separate area with children’s rides, a petting zoo,
pageant, talent, and livestock shows will take place throughout the week.
The West Tennessee State Fair starts Tuesday and runs through Sunday at the
Jackson Fairgrounds Park.
Ticket prices:
• Adults ages 12 to 64: $8, $10
• Seniors ages 65 and older: $4, $5
• Children ages 4 to 11: $4, $5
• Children age 3 and younger: Free
• Carnival armbands: $20
