Peggy Johnson, who works in the West Tennessee Surgery Center, has been named the employee of the month for West Tennessee Healthcare.

Peggy, who has been an employee at West Tennessee Healthcare for over 25 years, was presented the award by West Tennessee Healthcare vice-president Deann Thelen, and Jamie Newland, director of surgery, when the Board of Trustees held its monthly meeting at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, Tuesday.

“She goes above and beyond to help her patients and coworkers,” said Amy Garner, WTH’s Chief Compliance & Communications Officer, “She is very informative with the patients and patients’ families.

“She is calm in any crisis and works well under pressure. She is a great leader for the surgery center and a great asset to the system.

“Congratulations, Peggy.”
