West Tennessee Healthcare Foundation – Jacksonian began cycling across America, Sunday

Arielle Lui is taking on an ambitious project to bike across America in honor of her father’s profession.

With Ari’s father, Dr. Henry Lui, being an interventional cardiologist in Jackson, she understands that cardiac disease is the leading cause of death among all Americans.

This project will help educate across the country the importance of heart disease awareness as well as raise money for “Friends of Heart,” a fund of the West Tennessee Healthcare Foundation.

Ari – a student at Phillips Exeter Academy (PEA) in Exeter, New Hampshire – began her journey on Father’s Day, in Portland, Maine with a finish line in Portland, Oregon.

Ari – with her proud father and the rest of her family following her along the way – will bike a total of 51 days with only seven rest days and more than 3,500 miles.

This “Ari Across America” project is sponsored by Boston Scientific Close the Gap program.

All donations and support for Ari go to Friends of Heart fund to ensure the best heart and vascular care for West Tennesseans.’

This effort is designed to keep fundraising dollars local, serving the people of West Tennessee.
