CFO Report
Tina Prescott, COO, provided an update on the systems financial performance through June. With directed payments for relief from the State’s TennCare program and improvement in volumes with reduced agency staffing cost, the health system posted a positive operating margin for June.
For the fiscal year, the system had a negative operating margin of (6.0%) and an operating EBIDA margin of (0.1%). The system received non-recurring relief funding during the year recorded as non-operating activity. The relief funding revenue nearly offset the operating loss for the organization. Adjusting operating performance to include that amount, the operating margin would have been (0.5%) and an operating EBIDA margin of +3.8%.
