Victory Automotive has purchased Tim Castellaw Automotive, 920 U.S. Highway 51 in Dyersburg.
Grace Media Group visited with Chase Channell, general manager, Victory Honda Jackson, for a question and answer session about the buyout, and the future of the dealership.
Question: When did Victory close on the deal?
Answer: Victory took over April 17.
Question: Will this be a Honda dealership?
Answer: No, Victory Automotive group, the parent company of our dealership in Jackson, owns over 50 dealerships nationwide including brands; Acura, Buick, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Jeep, Lexus, Nissan, RAM, Subaru, Toyota, and Volkswagen.
The dealership becomes Victory Ford, Victory Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM, and Victory Toyota of Dyersburg.
Question: Why did Victory select the Dyersburg market?
Answer: With the explosive growth in Jackson, BlueOval City (Haywood County), and all of West Tennessee, we found the operation attractive.
Question: Outside of cosmetic, will there be any noticeable changes at the dealership?
Answer: We kept almost all of the existing staff, and only look to improve the customer experience with our marketing power, and our culture of taking care of our customers.
We’ve also extended the hours to better serve our customers.
Question: What will your role be at the Dyersburg location?
Answer: The store will be managed by Franky Markle, who has been there almost 10 years.
Being a sister store to our Honda store in Jackson, we will help support them with our used inventory.
But if I’m honest, the competitive side of me is looking forward to some friendly rivalry between our stores!
Question: Will you have a grand opening, and if so, do you have one scheduled?
Answer: We have a grand opening event scheduled for May 20, and will feature the Ram-inator Monster Truck on site.
It’s 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a 3 p.m. car-crush.
