Vicki Bunch has been named vice president, talent development of the Jackson Chamber.
According to a press release, Bunch recently served as manager of workforce development for the chamber. As VP, talent development, Bunch will continue to implement the organization’s workforce development strategy, serving as an important part of the chamber’s economic development team. She assists as the liaison between workforce stakeholders and educational institutions to identify and meet the growing demands in our labor region.
“An important component of any economic development strategy is ensuring a skilled workforce can support business and economic growth,” said Mandy White, the Jackson Chamber’s senior vice president of economic development, “Vicki has done a tremendous job in growing the effectiveness of our workforce development initiatives. Her promotion is a direct result of the great strides this organization has been able to take in this area under her direction.”
Prior to joining the chamber staff in July of 2016, Bunch was Henderson County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director and Tennessee Higher Education Commission Labor Education Alignment Program (LEAP) Director. As director of LEAP she worked with Jackson State Community College and Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology in a 14-county region on workforce training initiatives. She graduated from Union University with an undergraduate in communication arts and business.
Bunch serves on Tennessee Chamber of Commerce Executives (TCCE) board, Tennessee College of Applied Technology Advisory Board, West TN Workforce Board, TN Small Business Development Council, Arise2Read board and UT Madison County Master Gardeners (VP of projects).
She is a TN Achieves mentor, 2010 WestStar graduate and member of Englewood Baptist Church.
