Baseball was one reason Tyke Tabor arrived on campus at University School of Jackson, but his next stop is Bowling Green, Kentucky to continue his education and football career at Western Kentucky University.
WKU is a member of Conference USA and plays in the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision.
“Baseball was my main sport growing up,” said Tabor, a wide receiver and defensive back, “I thought I was going to play college ball, but I’ve always loved football … when I (put) on those pads, I just couldn’t take them off – I loved it.”
Tabor told Dan Reaves – Grace Media Group – the possibility exists he might play try playing baseball for the Hilltoppers.
In January, Tabor was one of 24 players named to the 2020 Tennessee high school football – DII- A All-State Team.
