USJ’s Ryan Rolison, the Colorado Rockies 2018 first-round pick out of Ole Miss, was one of four different pitchers who combined to throw seven shutout innings in a 1-0 win over the Chicago White Sox at Camelback Ranch in Mesa, Arizona, Sunday.
Rolison, 23, allowed one hit in two innings of work.
“A year older and another year of maturity,” Colorado manager Bud Black said of Rolison after the game. “He worked on a lot in alternate camp with his delivery with our pitching coaches and I think we’ve seen the fruits of that.”
