David Smith and Robert Clyce each bring with them over 25 years of experience in law enforcement, education, and security.
David Smith brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his position as a security officer at USJ. With a distinguished career spanning over 23 years with the Madison County Sheriff’s Department and the Jackson Police Department, along with five years as a criminal justice instructor with the Jackson Madison County School System, David’s dedication to upholding safety protocols is unmatched.
His comprehensive knowledge of security procedures and his ability to adapt to evolving threats make him an invaluable asset to the USJ community.
Robert Clyce joins the USJ security team with a commendable background in education security for the Broward County Public Schools in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and as a special agent for 15 years with Homeland Security.
Robert’s keen eye for detail and proactive approach to security will undoubtedly contribute to creating a safe environment at USJ.
His ability to foster positive relationships with students and staff will also play a vital role in promoting a culture of trust and open communication.
Head of School Don Roe shared, “Throughout this process, Mr. Jim Hardegree and I have been focused on bringing on officers to our team who would be committed to keeping our students and teachers safe while also embracing the importance of our USJ community.
