The build-out continues for a new restaurant at 1231 Vann Drive – and you probably will recognize the owner and location.
Located in the Shoppes in the Columns on Vann Drive and owned by Frank Arcuri, the unnamed (for now) restaurant will offer what is being described as upper casual for the 4,200-square-foot facility that was once home of Genghis Grill.
Frank Arcuri, who also owns Flatiron Grill and Bistro Eleven Sixty (Wednesday-Saturday 4:30 p.m. – 9 p.m.) – both located at 1160 Vann Drive – said he always had a special feeling about the new location, which will offer seating for 125- to 135 guests, private dining facilities, an outdoor patio, full bar, with a staff of 35 employees.
“I always looked at this location and saw this as an A-plus location with the traffic patterns right in the middle of the Columns.” Frank said, “The timing on this – Flatiron (Grill) and Italian with Bistro in the back at 1160 Vann Drive … hotels, apartments … traffic patterns are going our way.”
Frank, who said a target date for opening is mid- to late August, gave a sneak peek at the menu.
“Smoked wings, great burgers, light pasta dishes, chicken, full-service, more of an American grill.” Frank said, “We hired a chef from Memphis and adding some culinary folks to give us a really diverse menu that fits the public, the price point that also delivers a quality product in a quality environment.
“Local people … we’re here in the market, we live in town and work with the community.”
