Public comments dominated the first part of the Jackson-Madison County School Board meeting at Jackson City Hall, Thursday.
- Pope Elementary parents in attendance said students have outgrown the 70-year-old building.
- Also, a parent asked Dr. Eric Jones, superintendent of the school system would resign.
- Jones did not reply.
- Harrell Carter, president of the NAACP Jackson Chapter said he represents the 70 percent of the parents who were not in attendance.
