(December 6, 2013) West Tennessee- The Tennessee Department of Transportation has issued a county wide alert for road conditions in Gibson County and Crockett County.
As of 10:00AM, TDOT had received a report of patches of snow and ice on the roads in the aforementioned counties and advise motorists to use caution while driving in the county.
TDOT does not recommend travel on state routes and interstates in Lake, Obion, and Dyer Counties.
As the storm progresses, it is expected that more counties will fall under similar advisories.

At 1PM on Friday, TDOT received reports of patches of snow and ice on Jackson-Madison County roads.
TDOT crews are out and checking on where they need to place salt and are noticing multiple roads are beginning to become icy.
Motorists are advised to use caution while driving in the county.

State Route 20 both directions in Crockett County – Between DYER-CROCKETT COUNTY LINE and CROCKETT-MADISON COUNTY LINE, extremely hazardous winter road conditions were reported at 12/6/2013 3:00:00 PM with motorists advised to use caution on this roadway.
State Route 188 both directions in Crockett County – Between SR-54 (HWY.54) RT. & LT. / (BEGIN CROCKETT MILLS RD.) and SR-152 (NICHOLS RD.) RT. & (HWY.152) LT., extremely hazardous winter road conditions were reported at 12/6/2013 3:00:00 PM with motorists advised to use caution on this roadway.
