USJ Alumnus Trey Smith to be Honored with Jersey Retirement Ceremony Jackson, TN –
The University School of Jackson (USJ) is proud to announce on Friday, October 13th, that we pay tribute to one of our most exceptional alumni, Super Bowl Champion Trey Smith.
In recognition of his outstanding achievements on the football field, USJ will retire Trey Smith’s jersey in a special ceremony during halftime of the matchup between USJ and ECS.
Trey Smith, a true legend of the game, left an indelible mark on the football program at USJ during his time as a student-athlete.
His dedication, skill, and unwavering commitment to excellence made him a standout player, earning him a place in USJ’s rich athletic history.
Smith played college football at the University of Tennessee and was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the 6th Round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
He has started all 33 games of his NFL career at guard and in the 2022 season, took home his first Super Bowl ring.
The jersey retirement ceremony is an acknowledgment of Trey Smith’s contributions to our school and the enduring legacy he has left behind.
It is a fitting tribute to a player who not only excelled on the field but also inspired and uplifted his teammates and the entire USJ community.
