Smith, a 5-foot-9 senior guard from Hoover, Ala., averaged 18.8 points per game this season, third in the GSC, and led the conference with 5.4 assists per game. Smith led Union to the GSC Regular Season and Tournament Titles. Smith was named the GSC Player of the Year and was named to the GSC All-Tournament team. She became just the second player in Union women’s basketball history to surpass 1,500 career points, 500 career rebounds, and 500 career assists. She finished her career with 1,826 points, 573 rebounds, and 547 assists.
Smith’s senior season was ended early as the NCAA canceled all postseason championships due to COVID-19. She finished the year, averaging 18.8 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per game. As a guard, she shot 54 percent from the field, 39 percent from 3-point range, and 90 percent from the free throw line.
