(October 8, 2013) Jackson, Tenn.- Union University will host two speakers that will lead a community oriented conference.
“Seek the Welfare of the City,” sponsored by the Union’s Center for Politics and Religion and the Heritage Foundation, will feature Robert Woodson and Jay W. Richards.
Robert Woodson is the founder and president of the Center for Neighborhood Enterprise. According to a news release, the Center for Neighborhood Enterprise, “provides training and capacity-building technical assistance to more than 2,600 leaders of community-based groups in 39 states.”
Jay W. Richards is the director of the Discovery Institute’s Center on Wealth, Poverty, and Morality. He is also the author of “Indivisible: Restoring Faith, Family and Freedom Before It’s Too Late.”
According to the same release, the event will focus on ,” how to effectively partner with those struggling with poverty, broken homes and violent neighborhoods.”
