Union’s Nguidjol earns second TSWA Men’s Basketball Player of the Week award this season
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Union University’s Boe Nguidjol was named the Tennessee Sports Writers Association’s Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, scoring 19 points and grabbing 8 rebounds in one game for the Bulldogs. This is Nguidjol’s second TSWA weekly award and fourth for Union this season (Nguidjol twice, Tylandrius Parks twice).
The Los Angeles, Calif., shot 7-12 from the field with a pair of 3-pointers and was 3-5 from the charity stripe. The senior forward led the team in the win over Christian Brothers last week. He is currently averaging 13.6 points and 8.5 rebounds per game.

Union basketball’s Ivan Prug named GSC freshman of the week
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Union University’s Ivan Prug has been named the Gulf South Conference Men’s Basketball Freshman of the week ending January 29. This is Prug’s second freshmen of the week award this season.
The Igrane, Croatia, native helped Union go 1-0 this week with a win over Christian Brothers University. He played 13 minutes going 1-2 from the field which included a 3-pointer. He also added one rebound to his stat line for the game.
