JACKSON, Tenn. – Devaki Garr earns his second GSC Freshman of the Week following 18-point performance over No. 9 University of West Georgia.

From Nashville and a graduate of Ensworth High School, Garr, who was named GSC Freshman of the Week the first week of January, averaged 11.5 ppg and 3 rebounds per game this week

Majoring in business finance, Garr also collected three assists during his impressive week. Garr shot 50% from the field (9-18) including 45.5% from three-point range (5-11).

The talented freshman’s most notable performance came during the loss to No. 9 West Georgia. Garr recorded 18 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists in the game versus UWG. Garr also hit four three-pointers in a single game for the third time this season.

David Niven’s talented freshmen have now collected seven out of ten GSC Freshman of the Week awards for the 2023-24 season.
