KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Union University men’s soccer team earned the United Soccer Coaches Academic Team Award.

The award was given to teams with a composite GPA of 3.0 for each member of the team for the 2019-20 school year.

Union is coming off a year where the team advanced to the Gulf South Conference Tournament for the first time since Union joined the league in 2012. Union also won the GSC Fair Play Award this past season.

Union is currently not playing its 2020 season due to COVID-19 restrictions. It is still possible that the GSC schools will play a shortened season in the spring of 2021.
