[Jackson, TN] – On August 27, 2025, the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) and Jackson Police Department partnered to arrest a First Degree Murder suspect, Demetrius Moore, 22, in Jackson.
On May 14, 2024, at approximately 7:20 p.m., JPD Officers responded to a call of gunfire and an auto accident near a Jackson Fire Department Station on Roosevelt Parkway. JPD Investigators determined that a vehicle with multiple occupants was shot into on Dr. F.E. Wright Drive resulting in the death of Jerquavious Greer.
A warrant was issued charging Moore with First-Degree Murder and Two Counts of Attempted First Degree Murder.
This morning, JPD Investigators and the USMS Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force determined that Moore was inside an apartment in Royal Arms Apartment Complex at 1580 N. Royal Street.
Moore attempted to evade law enforcement by jumping out of a second story window and running, but he was immediately taken into custody by the Marshals and JPD. He was transported to the Madison County Jail.
