U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force finds West TN double 1st Degree Murder fugitive in Kansas City, Mo.

JACKSON, Tennessee – U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller announces the arrest of Deshawn Gorman, 25, on two counts of First-Degree Murder out of Dyer County, Tennessee.

Gorman was also wanted for Possession of a Weapon, Abatement of Nuisances, Simple Possession of Schedule VI, and a Failure to Appear warrant for Aggravated Assault and Felony Possession of a Handgun also in Dyer County.

On June 13, the Dyer County Sheriff’s Office issued a warrant for Gorman’s arrest on two counts of First-Degree Murder. This case was adopted by the U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force in Jackson, Tennessee.

On July 14, at approximately 4:30 p.m., the investigation led to Gorman’s location on the 300 block of Lydia Ave., in Kansas City, Missouri.

Gorman was found and apprehended by members of the Midwest Violent Fugitive Task Force. At the time of his arrest, Gorman was found to be in possession of a 9mm handgun. He was apprehended without incident. He was transported to the local jail and is awaiting extradition to Dyer County.

“The U.S. Marshals Service has a dedicated team of Investigators nationwide who focus on finding dangerous fugitives,” said U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller. “Finding Gorman was a priority, and we’re pleased that he’ll be brought back to West Tennessee to face charges.”
