MEMPHIS, Tenn. — After over a year of investigation, Tipton County Sheriff Shannon Beasley announced two arrests have been made in connection to a fatal Covington shoot-out.
On September 23, 2023, Tipton County deputies responded to the Event Center, which is located on Highway 51, where multiple people had been shot.
As the investigation unfolded, deputies and detectives learned that five people had been shot.
The next day, one of the victims succumbed to her injuries. She was only 20-years-old.
On Monday, Sheriff’s Office deputies with the Violent Crime Unit (VCU) began working with the U.S. Marshals Two River Violent Fugitive Task Force in Memphis to aid in the apprehension of two wanted suspects.
At approximately 3:30 p.m., the U.S. Marshals executed an arrest warrant for Braylon Parimore in Memphis. He was taken into custody and charged with murder.
At approximately 5:00 p.m., U.S. Marshals also executed an arrest warrant for Myles Stark in Jackson, Tennessee and charged him with shooting two individuals in the club.
Parimore, 19, has been charged with first-degree murder, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.
Stark, 23, has been charged with attempted murder, reckless endangerment and aggravated assault with injury.
He is being held on $500,000 bond.
Both are slated to appear before a judge on October 22.
